This week’s lesson was filled with colors! So much fun to mix and see colors interact!
THIS WEEK WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT THE…
Letter: C
Color: black
Shape: oval
Number: 3
ACTIVITIES
Craft Time
Letter C for cow (Prep: cut out all pieces of construction paper (back paper is 4.5″ x 6″, you can click on the template below to save and print). Use black washable paint or stamp pad to make thumbprints for the black, oval spots. Make an example for them to follow. Place all pieces in a sandwich ziploc bag so they can open and assemble with some glue.) ***The template uses my cow drawing as opposed to the first sample I made in the picture here.
Weekly calendar (Prep: draw the lines on the tin board, cut small 2″ square papers, and put magnets on the back of clothespins. You can also go ahead and put the days of the weeks with stickers on it or let the kids do that. Let them help draw pictures on the squares to show what they do on different days of the week.
Game
Colored water (Prep: put towels on a hard floor and several little cups of water with a large bowl in the middle and spoons. Using food coloring mix different colors in the little cups and let them stir and put into the large bowl to make new colors.)
Science
Clouds experiment (Prep: glass jar filled 3/4 with water. Have shaving cream and food coloring on hand. When ready, pump some shaving cream on top of the water then let the kids drop the food coloring on top of the shaving cream. Watch the colors trickle through the shaving cream like rain does.)
