Another COVID challenge was how to throw a baby shower with minimal contact! We considered a virtual baby shower but both mama-to-be-again and I just really wanted the joy of decorating and celebrating in a more tangible way. So we spread it out much like the spring birthdays we had and kept it very small and intimate. It was still such fun and it worked out well that I was decorating my guest room in a bird theme I could use the decorations for the party as well! I did forget to take a close up picture of the favors, they were quite simple and so enjoyable to create! I made bird seed feeders in the shape of a dove (dove cookie cutter to mold) using bird seeds and natural gelatin, poked a hole through and then tied it with a string once it was firm and dry. Lastly, I placed them in little bags tied with a string, note (“thank you for blessing our nest”), and a bird feather. Simple, elegant and sweet!
